
First published in 1853, Botany Bay: True Tales of Early Australia is Lang’s most significant Australian work. It contains thirteen short stories set in the early years of settlement, including some of the popular legends during the convict days.
John Lang (1816-1864) was a barrister and novelist, educated in Sydney and Cambridge.
